ABSENT:Council Member William Thomas

The purpose of this meeting is to finish answering the questions asked by General Code as they continue the recodification of the Mineral Town Code. Discussion followed.

It was asked if a person could get a refund for overpayment for cemetery lots if there is a lot in their contract that they had filed bankruptcy on. This was discussed by Council. It was decided by Council that a refund would not be issued to the lot owner.

Mr. Payne spoke on the subject of a new Town hall, with the interest rates and the way the building community is it would be a good time to build a new building. Mr. Payne would like to see the Mayor appoint a committee to work on obtaining a new building. The Mayor stated that he thinks this is a great time to build a new DMV/Town Hall. Discussion followed. The Mayor appointed Roy Payne and Pam Harlowe to work on a committee to obtain information for a building.

Bernice Wilson-Kube made a motion to adjourn. Pam Harlowe seconded the motion. Motion passed 5/0 with None voting in the negative.
